AIMS Lens Engine
Bring company, role and industry context into your interview preparation.
A job description tells you what a role asks for. Your preparation needs to connect those requirements with things you have actually done.
AIMS Lens Engine is an independent context engine. It organizes information about companies, roles and industries into a structured view of the target context. JobACE can use that context to shape questions, follow-ups and feedback, helping you explain your judgment, contribution and results in relation to the opportunity ahead.
Start with available company, role and industry information. A job description and your resume can add detail about the opportunity and the experience you bring.
Organize the available information into contextual priorities, with sources and limits. These priorities help focus the preparation on relevant parts of your experience.
Role context can help guide questions about your decisions, personal contribution, trade-offs and results. You practise explaining the details behind your answer.
Review your answer with AIMS™ feedback, identify what still needs evidence and practise again. Reassessment can show whether your next answer provides the missing evidence.
An illustrative example
Imagine you helped reduce the time it took to resolve customer support tickets. The facts stay the same, but different roles may call for different parts of the story.
How did you identify the cause? What did you personally change? How did you check whether it worked?
How did you choose the team's priorities? How did you involve others? What helped the team maintain the improvement?
These questions illustrate how role context can change the focus of practice. They are not questions or assessment criteria supplied by an employer.
What is this role asking for? Which parts of your experience are relevant? What would be useful to explore in a follow-up?
What does your answer demonstrate? What remains unclear? What evidence could you explain more fully in your next attempt?
AIMS™ uses six dimensions: structured thinking, analysis and problem solving, ownership and execution, results and business impact, collaboration and communication, and growth mindset. Lens adds the target context in which that answer is considered.
Explore the AIMS™ frameworkSchools, career services and organizations may have their own role requirements, training materials and review needs. Lens can support preparation around those materials through its private service and integration workflows.
Agree on the purpose and scope, then organize relevant role descriptions, organization information and training materials.
Maintain a record of the information and lens version used, so reviewers can understand the context behind a practice session.
Use structured context to support questions, feedback and discussion. People remain responsible for interpreting the evidence and making decisions.
Available materials, workflows and reporting depend on the agreed integration and deployment scope.
Explore JobACE for organizationsA lens draws on public information or materials provided with authorization. Its depth depends on the information available. When target information is limited, preparation may use broader role or industry context, or general AIMS™ guidance.
Lens does not provide confidential employer questions or represent an employer's official hiring standard. Feedback concerns the evidence in your answers; it does not certify your ability or predict a hiring outcome. Available Lens support varies by role and product setup.
Start with the role you are considering. Practise explaining what you did, why you made those decisions and what changed as a result. Use the feedback to choose what to work on next.
